As the sun returns to Vancouver and summer begins to bloom, one event marks the true kickoff to the season: Italian Day on Commercial Drive returns this Sunday June 8th. It’s the day where the streets close to traffic as thousands gather to enjoy a lively festival of music, food, art, and tradition.
This year, like many years before, Boffo was honoured to sponsor Italian Day and help bring the spirit of Italy to the heart of East Vancouver. We joined a great group of local businesses at the Amici sponsorship level and are proud to continually remain ‘friends’ of Italian Day.
But for us, it’s more than just a community festival in a neighbourhood we love. It’s also about history, hard work, and the very roots of our Boffo team. Our team works to build homes and spaces where culture, connection and community can thrive. And Italian Day is just that. It’s about celebrating the people who immigrated here, brought culture and food, music and more, and who helped shape the very neighbourhoods of our cities.
Each year, we look forward to Italian Day as an opportunity to reconnect with our community and support the future of this cherished neighbourhood. It’s a wonderful way to embrace the upcoming season—one full of connection, sunshine, and shared moments.
